Seductive adventure on two wheels
Istria Granfondo is considered one of the most beautiful cycling marathons, as it passes through the wine-growing regions of northwestern Istria. The picturesque route offers breathtaking panoramas, challenging ascents, and thrilling descents. This event takes place in April on the roads of the towns of Umag and Novigrad. The Expo zone features various cycling brands, a children’s program, and a large number of prizes, ensuring a great atmosphere for all visitors year after year.

For the daring and physically fit cyclists, there are two routes: the 94 km long Istria Medio Fondo and the 119 km long Istria Gran Fondo.
In addition to the main race in these two formats, participants have the opportunity to compete in the Time Trial.
The routes pass through the northwestern and central parts of the Istrian peninsula and bring you back to Umag.
The rich accompanying program offers interesting brands in the Expo zone, a children’s program, a rich gourmet offer, and most importantly – a great atmosphere!
In 2023, Istria Gran Fondo became an officially recognized event under the leadership of the UCI – World Cycling Organization. It is a series of 28 competitions held around the world on as many as 5 continents.
